Welcome to the College of Arts & Sports

Welcome. We hope you find helpful information and make new friends here.  Our desire is to provide a platform with which to connect Christian artists.

If you came to check out possible training schools, find new resources, meet others involved in arts ministries around the world, or to get inspired by what others are doing, we think you’ll find interesting opportunities.

Please contact us with ideas – ideas for new resources we should make people aware of, or ministry opportunities available, or just with comments or questions.

We hope you visit often and come back soon.

Fifth News Update: Go4Glory and MTG

Hi Friends!

We are counting down the days until Go4Glory begins in Harpenden, England. We’ve recently made plans for all Go4Glory participants to go into the Merton community with “Party in the Park” on July 22nd from 3 - 8 pm, where each of us has the opportunity to perform, demonstrate and interact.  This event is done in partnership with many of the local churches in Merton.  We will provide transportation for this integral part of our calling as arts & sports ministries – displaying His glory!

Sports update

We are currently in the middle of the European Championship, one of the major soccer tournaments that is held every 4 years, and in just over a month the London Olympics begin. Sport is all around us - on the front page of all the news.  The boundaries between sport and art are intertwining: athletes are rock stars and rock stars are athletes; artwork is on display, even on footballers’ bodies! Sports and arts are all about celebration.

This summer Go4Glory aims to capture what is going on in the world of sport and how it opens doors to express our faith and excel in our gifts. Our times of networking, playing and competing, as well as plunging into seminars, will highlight the very latest in sport and mission thinking.

Coach Tim Powers

Coach Powers & HPI team

“Coach” Tim Powers will be offering training sessions every morning and leading workshops at Go4Glory. He has provided training and consulting to athletic team members from numerous Division I college teams, the National Football League, Major League Baseball, various Olympic team athletes and NASCAR in the USA.
Coach Powers and the HPI Team (Human Performance Instruction) will do various training workouts each morning including dynamic warm-ups, sprint mechanics, plyometrics, footwork precision, agility movement patterns and power endurance runs.  They will also present a clinic on "Sports Speed Development," to give Go4Glory participants a taste of how Olympians train.

If you still haven’t registered to be part of Go 4 Glory it’s not too late.  Go to
www.go4glory.org and register online.   You can register for our accommodation and meal option and pay online or organize your own elsewhere.  We’ll help you with visa letters and give you any assistance you need.  So far we have over 40 seminars and workshops registered for you to learn from the experts.  If you want to display your ministry or sell your merchandise you can book an Expo table online also.  There will be plenty of opportunities for you to perform, exhibit or just hang out with other artists and athletes at the Creative Lounge cafe.  We can’t wait to meet you and hear your story about how the Lord brought you to Go 4 Glory. Training for a Sports Ministry in YWAM?

"It was eye opening for me to see how many opportunities there are in sports ministry"

WORSHIP @ G4G

Each morning during Go4Glory we'll set the tone for our day with an extended time of
worship.  We want to keep the focus upon God and listen to His heart, so we've prioritised this time for all the participants to come around His throne with one voice and one heart.
Lucio & Dina Santana (Brazil) are planning times of multicultural worship and worship expressions.  They are looking for a few musicians and others who are interested in expressing worship on stage with visual art, sports, dance, flags, etc.  If you are already registered and would be willing to offer your service in worship, please contact Lucio & Dina at:

Fourth News update: Go4Glory and MTG

Hi Friends!

We are bursting at the seams with news about Go4Glory!  In less than two months from now we'll be converging in England, sharing our stories and giving Him glory.

If you have friends involved in Arts & Sports (Music, Worship, Dance, Visual Arts, Team & Individual Sports) please pass this update on to them and encourage them to register and join us!  Registration for Go4Glory doesn't close until July 1st, 2012.  We've already over 250 people registered and attending and we have room for MORE!

This is the first time Youth With A Mission has ever organized an Arts AND Sports Festival - we're calling on all YWAMers, all friends of YWAM and anyone who is currently involved in the Great Commission by way of arts and sports ministries.  Come and let's celebrate together, let's get connected, let's GO out into the harvest field together.  It's time to get connected, to bundle our energy and efforts to see His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Do I hear an "AMEN"?!!

G4G visual arts update
Visual Arts Programme - Inspiring a Generation
Because the art of a nation reflects its society, we'll link together as a body of believers to offer and encourage art that is noble to impact the imagery of London this summer.  This is a new season, connecting visual artists in a new movement of artists; we're going for God's Glory. We are working hand in hand with artists from all visual disciplines, all denominations and all nations to offer with passion a fresh understanding of Art. Connected with past traditions, we aim to promote and convey a sense of meaning, purpose and beauty in order to engage into the present art history and inspire the future generation to find their delight and wonder in our God.
