Welcome to the College of Arts & Sports

Welcome. We hope you find helpful information and make new friends here.  Our desire is to provide a platform with which to connect Christian artists.

If you came to check out possible training schools, find new resources, meet others involved in arts ministries around the world, or to get inspired by what others are doing, we think you’ll find interesting opportunities.

Please contact us with ideas – ideas for new resources we should make people aware of, or ministry opportunities available, or just with comments or questions.

We hope you visit often and come back soon.

Final Go4Glory update

Hello Friends!

This is our final Go4Glory update.  Our preparations are full-on and we have participants representing 30 countries!  It's easy to see that it's an Olympic season, and God is gathering the nations here in London to show them His glory.

Our latest news is regarding two speakers we've just added to the line-up; both new, exciting and totally different.

Ralph Rovero
The first is Filipino/British designer, Ralph Rovero, a new up-and-coming Christian fashion designer that Lady Gaga has commissioned.  Ralph has just graduated from University of Westminster and already had the honour of having one of his pieces featured in the September 2011 issue of Vogue Homme’s Japanese edition. He named one of his collections “I am Hero,” and his bright fashion collections do look like something you would see in a comic book. His colorful sportswear designs are amazing! With a bold and beautiful style, Ralph is on his way as a premier menswear designer.

Bring a T-Shirt to Go4Glory !   Ralph will be running a workshop on the 24th of July at the Go4Glory festival called: ME + JESUS ON A T-SHIRT. Bring one of your T-Shirts to this workshop and create your own graphic art based on your relationship with God and to print and take home.

Vishal Mangalwadi

Our keynote speaker for Go4Glory will be Vishal Mangalwadi - an international lecturer, social reformer, cultural and political columnist, and author of thirteen books. Born and raised in India, he studied philosophy at universities, in Hindu ashrams, and at L’Abri Fellowship in Switzerland. In 1976 he turned down several job offers in the West to return to India where he and his wife, Ruth, founded a community to serve the rural poor. Vishal and Ruth have two daughters and five grandchildren.

His topics during Go4Glory:

Olympics and the Heroism of the Cross (Main Stage)

Modern Olympics respected “muscular Christianity” which used sports and athletics to inculcate character. Re-paganization of Olympics has gone back to promoting greed and vainglory. Only the Cross can help postmodern world recover true heroism.

The Soul of London: New Jerusalem (Workshop, part 1)

William Blake’s 1804 Hymn “Jerusalem” (still in the Anglican Hymnal) confronted the “dark satanic mills” that were corrupting London and inspired generations with the vision that the New Jerusalem ought to be London’s inspiration. Unfortunately the Olympics will also bring fresh corruption into London, giving us the question: how can our witness offer new light to the cities of the world?

Offering Life to London’s Culture of Death (Workshop, part 2)

Tate Modern, the Museum of Modern Art next door to Shakespeare’s Globe, is exhibiting Damien Hirst’s art of Death. This offers an excellent context for offering the Gospel of abundant life to tens of thousands awed by Britain’s richest artist.  We've attached a recent article Vishal has written as a response.  His article is called: "
A diamond-studded skull instead of a crown of thorns.”

Vishal is a dynamic and engaging speaker who has lectured in 34 countries. He enjoys simplifying complex ideas and inspiring despairing hearts with hope.  More information can be found on Vishal's website:
www.revelationmovement.com

Registration is closed but we hope everyone, whether attending or not, will pray with us to see this event fulfill it's goal:  to give God Glory through the celebration of Arts and Sports!  Please see the prayer requests below and believe with us for a new wave of ministry to flow out of this history-making festival.  If you have any scriptures or other encouragements for us, please feel free to contact our worship & prayer coordinator, Belinda at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We'll also post a report on our YWAM College of Arts & Sports website after the events of the summer.  That website is:  www.ywamcas.org  and please feel free to sign up there for future events and updates as well as joining any one of our arts & sports networks listed.

We're so looking forward to meeting all the 350 Go4Glory participants soon in London and together see what God will do!
