Dance

We are the dancers who dance upon injustice.  From the time of Miriam and her tambourine on the shores of the Red Sea to our DTS hip hop teams…dance is a medium for worship and warfare and rejoicing in His goodness.  Through dance we actually sculpt space – creating visual sound waves that impact audiences.  Many CAS schools include elements of dance - some on the street or in the theater.  It is life giving to move to the rhythm of our faith.

The Arts Ministry of YWAM Ituzaingo began in 2007. Our principal objective is: "To disciple and equip Christians artists and non Christians, imparting values and principles of the truth of God, through various artistic expressions."

As an Arts Ministry, we have created musical comedies such as: “Las Lunas y su Reino del Reves”. We also have a choreography team for contemporary dance, Tango and in Argentine folk. We have presented our artistic dramas in various events, both Christian and non-Christian. We have given seminars in many Buenos Aires churches as well as in other provinces, offering discipleship and mentoring to those that have are called to arts ministries.

In October 2009 we will host the 3rd "Artistic encounter of Dance and Music" (“Liberarte, Tierra Mia”). It's purpose is to gather young non-Christian people from our city and give them the opportunity of expressing their talents.  Our aim is to reinvest the value of artistic expression so they and others will be awakened to God, the Creator, and His plans for mankind.

This event has already been supported by the local government because of it's importance to our city.

On September 21, 2009 we are launching an Art School specialized in Dance, Music and Drama. “Artists in Maximum Expression” (A.M.E.), was born from an initiative to prepare, reach and redeem this vital area of society. This school is a 2nd  level University of the Nations course (YWAM) and  is designed to train staff workers on a professional level who have a ministry calling in the Arts. Our goal is to learn how to work in a secular artistic environment and redeem it from the inside out. The AME will be of 6 month in which particpants will develop their talents and gifts to their maximum capacity. Seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have designed this school and believe that this new format will lead us into a new level with Christ.
